Transport around
the Adelaide area

Unlike other major cities in the world that are dependent on cabs (for instance, New Yorkers can't live without them) or subways (Londoners on the other hand are totally dependent on trains, or 'tubes' as they call them, whether they go home or stay at posh establishments like brighton hotels), Adelaide's main mode of transportation is trams. Trams run from Glenelg to the Adelaide CBD every 15 or 20 minutes depending on the time of day (timetables are readily available in Glenelg). The trip from Moseley Square, near the ocean in Jetty Road, Glenelg to Victoria Square, Adelaide City takes about 20 minutes.

There is also an extensive network of buses servicing Glenelg, Adelaide and surrounding areas (timetables and other information are readily available in Glenelg and Adelaide).
